Meeting curriculum requirements:

By dressing up and engaging in role play children are learning to develop their imagination, work together and
learn about other people. It can be a stimulus to the use of language and to learning new vocabulary and writing
stories. Manipulation skills are involved in handling the clothes and accessories. Decision-making and choices
are involved throughout.

Tips for Painting:

It is important to take care in presenting the clothes and accessories. Encourage the children to handle items
with respect and to put them away carefully after use. It may be useful to introduce new accessories a few at a
time so that their full potential is realised.

What you will need:

Playsuits, Tabards or Tops, Velcro dots and strips and a box of assorted offcuts, fabric remnants and whatever
accessories you can find such as scarves, bags and hats.
