Koloron a new resource for the fashion and fabric designer
For sheer versatility Koloron Art Fabric is exceptional, responding well to woodblock, lino and screen-printing

This new Art Fabric from Koloron is opening up exciting opportunities for textile designers and crafts people. A non-woven fabric that provides a surface like paper and is ideal for taking print and hand applied colour. Koloron handles like a light cotton and can be made up as conventional fabric.

Koloron is good with all print methods including screen, woodblock and lino print. Koloron also accepts a great variety of paints and inks including Berol Meltdown, emulsion based inks, Press Print and Cromar Colour.

Koloron is also good with a wide range of embellishments including pens, pencils, metallic pastels and wax crayons. All result in bright strong colours. Koloron is a fabric like no other; it cuts easily with scissors and needs no hemming because it doesn’t fray.  It joins as well with PVA as it does with sewing. It can even be frequency welded and while folds can be set with a low heat, higher heat distorts and melts Koloron  into fascinating shapes. It is the most creative fabric ever produced and has been used for many projects including collections for London’s Fashion Week.

Koloron is light in weight and therefore requires little by way of fixing when used as hangings and banners which makes it ideal for displaying large areas of printed and decorated  designs, sample pieces and  even displays to support sketch books and preparatory work. Koloron also enables rapid work for photography when a portfolio of ideas is needed to support a bid for a project or as support for extra-mural work.

Whenever you wish paper were a fabric ask for Koloron it really is a solution for a lot of creative activities.
